Selected calligraphy from Hunminjeongeum by Korean calligrapher Cheongnong Moon Gwan-hyo is applied to the reclaimed material, connecting Korea’s written heritage with contemporary urban waste.
The powerful brushstrokes and visual structure of Hangul meet the distinctive woven surface of flex fabric to create a new texture.
Depending on where the material is cut, each bag features a different arrangement of characters and brushwork. No two bags have exactly the same pattern.
The exterior is made from upcycled flex fabric featuring the Hunminjeongeum artwork, while the interior is finished with natural vegan cork. An adjustable reclaimed vehicle seatbelt strap and seatbelt buckle complete Zero Percent’s distinctive urban upcycling design.
